Popular Attractions in Dubai

Dubai offers an incredible array of unique and unforgettable attractions. Take a look at some of what the city has to offer.

Dubai Frame
The Dubai frame is one of the city's newer and more unique attractions, and a very cool way to see the city from up high. Located in Zabeel Park, this unique architectural wonder opened in January 2018. Consisting of dual 150-metre tall towers connected by a 93-metre wide glass-bottom suspension bridge, it allows visitors to get exquisite panoramic day and night-time views of both Old and modern-day Dubai.

Our recommendation: if possible, find out about what time the sun is due set most days. Based on that information, get an appointment around that time to get a transitional day-to-night view. With its amazing abstract architecture, city lights and incredible sunsets, Dubai is hands down the most beautiful city in the world at night. And the Dubai Frame is one of the best places to get a flawless bird's-eye view.

The Dubai Frame is open daily from 9am to 9pm. Tickets are 50AED for adults; 20AED for children. Guests with disabilities/wheelchairs and senior citizens are free.

Dubai Miracle Garden
Behold Dubai's massive floral and botanical wonder. This topiary-filled attraction holds the word's largest natural flower garden.

Tickets are 50AED for adults 12+; 40AED for children ages 3-9; children under three and disabled guests are free. Tour group and special event pricing available. Visit their website to learn more.

Just outside the Dubai Mall is the world-famous Dubai Fountain. Shows happen every 20 minutes throughout the day into the evening. Each breathtaking show features varying music from around the world. Get a sneak preview of the world-famous fountain show below. Best viewed full screen with sound.

Virtual-Reality Indoor Theme Park
We adventure travelers live to find a theme or amusement park in the vicinity of our tourist destination. Dubai, in all its ultra-modern glory, doesn't disappoint. Located inside the delightfully air-conditioned Dubai Mall, this virtual-reality theme park offers an entire day of theme park fun without the heat or the often super-long lines.

This place has everything, including:
  • real and virtual roller coasters & theme park rides
  • virtual tour bus rides through major cities like Paris, London, Hong Kong, New York City, etc.
  • thrilling virtual dessert sand dune rides
  • Individual and team virtual adventures based on popular characters like John Wick, The Walking Dead and others
  • virtual skydiving adventures
  • virtual hot air balloon rides in different parts of the world
The rides and attractions are thrilling and incredibly realistic, and there are literally dozens of them, plenty enough for a full day of laughing, taking out zombies and bad guys, robbing banks and screaming your head off. My absolute favorite was virtual sky-diving off the Burj Khalifa.

Important note: Make sure to bring your own bottled water with you when you visit. Prices for water inside the VR Park and the Mall vary, and can be steep by any standard.

Prices at the VR Park are extremely reasonable. If you fancy only a ride or two, simply pay 10Dhs per individual ride (less than three dollars American). If you want to make a day of it, the cost is only 150Dhs per adult for unlimited rides, less than $41 American. It is without question money well spent.
