Apply to Live and Work Remotely for a Year in Dubai!
Imagine waking up every morning to an exquisite view of the beach. Or an exciting cityscape that boasts some of the most extraordinary architecture on earth.
Imagine no longer. Remote workers and business owners are invited to live and work in Dubai!
Dubai has joined other destinations around the world in creating a Virtual Working Program to entice remote workers and their families to re-locate to the Emirate to 'work from home' for a year.
A special visa program has been created to encourage workers to take advantage of today's digital culture. It will allow cabin-fever-stricken remote employees and entrepreneurs to enjoy life with their families in one of the safest and culturally diverse places in the world.
Why is this exciting and ideal? Dubai was awarded the World Travel and Tourism Council "Safe Travel" Stamp, a distinction that recognizes the outstanding precautions taken by the UAE to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

The Emirate has also created a "Dubai Assured" Stamp, a distinction for hotels, restaurants, shops and other vendors, to signify their compliance with the strict safety and hygiene measures adapted by the government.
Dubai boasts not only vigorous safety/hygiene protocols, but a substantial digital infrastructure. If the city gets any more technologically advanced, The Jetsons will finally be a reality.
Candidates and their families will also have the benefit of new surroundings and an awesome quality of life, as Dubai offers a wide array of incredible beaches, exquisite dining, and world-class shopping and entertainment in a safe place where family is the cornerstone of society.
Here's how it works:
- The Virtual Working Program lasts one year.
- You (and each person in your household) must pay a fee of US$287 for this special visa, plus show proof of medical insurance with UAE coverage validity.
- You will have access to telecoms, utilities, co-working spaces, conference rooms and schooling options for children.
Applicants will need the following:
- Passport with minimum six months validity remaining at the time of travel
- Health Insurance with UAE coverage validity
- Proof of Employment from current employer with a one-year contract validity, a minimum of US$5,000 monthly salary, payment receipts for the last month and bank statements from the last three months
- Business owners must show proof of ownership for one year or more, show proof of at least US$5,000 income and bank statements from the last three months
Remember, Dubai is a tax-free zone, and does not levy income tax on employees.
This beautiful location will provide a much-needed mental boost, and is uniquely positioned to offer both a safe and dynamic lifestyle for a positive work-life balance.

It has always looked like such a beautiful destination, but as a woman this is not my destination of choice.
ReplyDeleteKeep an open mind. Consider visiting someday. You will be very surprised.

ReplyDeleteThis is so informative. Dubai is like the cultural melting pot, with expatriates from world over as well as it's own culture. Very insightful post. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteThis program sounds so interesting! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIt’s not something I’ve considered and in fact I’ve never visited either but I can imagine it is an amazing place to visit x
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a beautiful destination and I love the idea of embracing the work from home opportunity. If my husband was able to go remote for his work, we would love to experience another area of the world in this way. I'm sure it's extra tempting for those who may currently be living in COVID hot spots to know that there is an alternative that has been recognized for it's safety and handling of the pandemic.
ReplyDeleteI have never visited before. I have heard great things though. Thank you for sharing.
